Public Footpaths in Botesdale: Botesdale has an interesting network of well maintained public footpaths. The majority of the Botesdale footpaths lie to the South of the village.

The Parish Councils of Botesdale and Rickinghall  have jointly produced a guide to the local public paths. This guide details two circular walks, one 2.5 miles long and the other, 6.5 miles. A new edition of this guide has been prepared and was published in June 2004.
